The Old White Beare is a joint family business run by Andrew Krawec and Chris Blood.  We both have extensive experience with hospitality. Andrew has just arrived from working for the 5 Star Radisson Edwardian Manchester as Operations Manager; before that The 5 Star Lowry Hotel, Gleneagles and many more! He has also had the privilege of lecturing students at the University of Salford. Chris has an equally strong background in hospitality with The Lowry Hotel, Le Merdien Hotels & many independent restaurants!  Our kitchen team too has a strong background and a wealth of knowledge and experience, with Head Chef Andrew Thomson.The reputation which the Beare has for its quality beers is now equalled by that of the food which it serves. Good ingredients imaginatively cooked and beautifully presented by the kitchen team. We make everything fresh, including ice creams and desserts! And all exceptionally good value prices as you will see in the attached menus.The menus, which are changed regularly, offer a number of dining options. Great emphasis is placed on the sourcing of the produce used in all of the dishes on offer and it is only bought from the best of regular, local suppliers.The Beare as an integral part of the village community. Although its burgeoning reputation now draws clientele from many miles away they still like to think of it as a local. There is a very warm and genuinely friendly atmosphere apparent around the gleamingly polished bar. Some of the pictures on the walls are for sale from a local art society. We house guest ales from around the country, and keep all our casks in the traditional way. We pride ourselves on the quality of our beer. Why not come and see for yourself. We also house over 40 wines from around the world! Whatever your vintage, we can offer you a wine to suit your tastes.We are also VERY pleased to be given the Cask Marque award!  Surrounded by beautiful views The Dog & Gun nestles in the midst of Brontë land above the West Yorkshire village of Oxenhope.  This 17th Century coaching inn has been run by Michael and Kath Roper since 1994 and their daughter Jodie now works alongside them.The recently extended dining room has spectacular views and has doubled the Dog & Gun's eating area making it ideal for small weddings, private parties and block bookings.Good home cooked food and excellent award winning beers bring people back time and time again and the new extensive wine list complements all of the excellent choices of food on the menu.Bar Snacks, special boards and a full à la carte menu are available 7 days a week, lunchtimes and evenings Monday to Friday and throughout the day every Saturday and Sunday.This traditional Yorkshire pub has a traditional Yorkshire bar with oak beams and two open fires giving character and warmth on a long winter evening or a chilly lunchtime.Located on the Denholme road out of Oxenhope, the Dog & Gun is close to Brontë attractions of Haworth and the Keighley and Worth Valley Steam Railway which terminates in Oxenhope.
