Macleods at The Coniston Hotel
Coniston Cold
Macleod's Restaurant is a traditional yet elegant, bright and airy restaurant which has been popular for many years with those looking for a special dinner on business or for romantic or indeed family occasions. The recently extended Macleod's can also be used for private dining, up to 60 people. it is open every evening serving beautifully prepared organic and locally sourced dishes. As far back as 1992 Macleod’s restaurant has been the culinary centre of the hotel. Even in the early days a major focus was placed on high quality local ingredients, and when the seasons allowed, produce from the estate such as fish and game were often used in certain dishes (some of which still sit pride of place on our menu).  Today, with its crisp white table cloths, smart glassware, and exceptional service, Macleods sets a different pace and service style to the Huntsman lodge. A slightly more “old school” style, where we make no apologies for the “ladies before gentlemen” attitude that sometimes gets lost in modern restaurants. So what’s so special?  Complimentary “amuse Bouche”, homemade flavoured breads that are baked daily in our kitchens, a refined and interesting menu which packs bags of flavour and Yorkshire produce, all matched with immaculate presentation. Fine dining without all the unwanted fuss, we are really proud to call this the heart, and the start, of the Coniston culinary journey.

Zolsha - Crosshills
Skipton Road
Zolsha Restaurant has always been the dream of an 18-year-old boy, Tufail Miah, who decided within six months of working as a porter in his initial job, that he wanted to open his own restaurant. We have been nominated for customer excellence and also been awarded the best restaurant in 2008 by quality foodsAt the age of 18, the dream was realised with the opening of a restaurant, seating 80, on Castle gate, Knaresborough called ‘The Spice Merchant’. Since then, through sheer enthusiasm, determination and hard work, the restaurant had been very successful, always going from strength to strength, however due to some complications with his joint partner he decided to sell his share thus the dream remained just a dream. After working elsewhere for a while, He still didn’t want to give up so he decided to again embark on another business. In winter 2007, He launched Zolsha restaurant in Knaresborough, a few streets away from his previous Restaurant. This was going to be his dream accomplished! The name ‘Zolsha’ is a word widely known as a ‘place of gathering’ in Bengali language and thus he thought what better name for a restaurant!Whilst the food at the restaurant is outstandingly consistent, the restaurant also has its own themed design. The restaurants have been designed to provide a contemporary atmosphere and carry a certain aura which is no less than being in any major city in the world.Ever since the opening of Zolsha, It has gained a huge reputation for its high quality cuisine, vibrant atmosphere and first class service and even old customers from his previous restaurant are now regulars to this one. The Restaurant has already been nominated for the customer Excellence Award and is in the finalists.
The Royalty
Otley
A warm and hearty welcome to the Royalty, an independent free house perched on the top of Otley Chevin midst spectacular views that folk would sell their butty for. And it’s not just the views that are gradley – our food is fresh and locally sourced wherever possible which, together with our passion for the finest ingredients, we hope you can taste in every mouthful. Our menu also changes with the seasons allowing us to make the best use of nature’s pantry which means you might want to visit us more regularly. Our passion knows no bounds and is also put to good use when it comes to choosing our fine wines and range of beers including our accredited Camra LocAle cask ales. A friendly and traditional pub with a roaring fire to warm your cockles during the colder months, the Royalty is popular with walkers and cyclists. Our canine friends are also welcome in the tap room, the name of which harks back to the days when beer was drawn by a tap straight from the barrel. Stunning panoramic views across Wharfedale can be enjoyed from our outside beer garden and the conservatory with a bird’s eye view (quite literally) of flights in and out of Leeds Bradford Airport. Although not quite like being onboard at least you’re not strapped into your seat which is useful when you’re ready for another pint!
