The Royalty

A warm and hearty welcome to the Royalty, an independent free house perched on the top of Otley Chevin midst spectacular views that folk would sell their butty for. And it’s not just the views that are gradley – our food is fresh and locally sourced wherever possible which, together with our passion for the finest ingredients, we hope you can taste in every mouthful. Our menu also changes with the seasons allowing us to make the best use of nature’s pantry which means you might want to visit us more regularly. Our passion knows no bounds and is also put to good use when it comes to choosing our fine wines and range of beers including our accredited Camra LocAle cask ales. A friendly and traditional pub with a roaring fire to warm your cockles during the colder months, the Royalty is popular with walkers and cyclists. Our canine friends are also welcome in the tap room, the name of which harks back to the days when beer was drawn by a tap straight from the barrel. Stunning panoramic views across Wharfedale can be enjoyed from our outside beer garden and the conservatory with a bird’s eye view (quite literally) of flights in and out of Leeds Bradford Airport. Although not quite like being onboard at least you’re not strapped into your seat which is useful when you’re ready for another pint!
