 At the heart of this traditional Yorkshire pub is a well stocked long bar with a full range of excellent, well kept, Timothy Taylor’s locally brewed cask condition ales, a selection of lagers, ciders and spirits including fine malt whiskies, top brandies and popular liqueurs. This traditional Yorkshire pub has a traditional bar with oak beams and two open fires giving character and warmth on a long winter evening or a chilly lunchtime.We pride ourselves on our award winning beers and Michael’s Cask Marque award assures you of a superb pint of cask ale.Our two extensive dining areas provide relaxed surroundings in which to enjoy home cooked food complemented by a comprehensive wine list which includes whites, reds, and rosés from France, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Chile, Germany and California as well as champagnes and sparkling wines.The Dog & Gun’s original “Well Restaurant” is self contained and situated to the right of the main bar. Beneath this restaurant is the original well which can be seen through the glass floor. The newer restaurant is to the left of the bar at the front of the building overlooking the moors and down into Oxenhope itself. Both areas can be used for private parties and small weddings. All our products are sourced from local suppliers with fresh deliveries daily.We have a weekly Quiz Night (usually on a Monday), theme nights throughout the year, wine tasting evenings and various promotions. Zolsha Restaurant has always been the dream of an 18-year-old boy, Tufail Miah, who decided within six months of working as a porter in his initial job, that he wanted to open his own restaurant.We have been nominated for customer excellence and also been awarded the best restaurant in 2008 by quality foodsAt the age of 18, the dream was realised with the opening of a restaurant, seating 80, on Castle gate, Knaresborough called ‘The Spice Merchant’. Since then, through sheer enthusiasm, determination and hard work, the restaurant had been very successful, always going from strength to strength, however due to some complications with his joint partner he decided to sell his share thus the dream remained just a dream.After working elsewhere for a while, He still didn’t want to give up so he decided to again embark on another business. In winter 2007, He launched Zolsha restaurant in Knaresborough, a few streets away from his previous Restaurant. This was going to be his dream accomplished! The name ‘Zolsha’ is a word widely known as a ‘place of gathering’ in Bengali language and thus he thought what better name for a restaurant!Whilst the food at the restaurant is outstandingly consistent, the restaurant also has its own themed design. The restaurants have been designed to provide a contemporary atmosphere and carry a certain aura which is no less than being in any major city in the world.Ever since the opening of Zolsha, It has gained a huge reputation for its high quality cuisine, vibrant atmosphere and first class service and even old customers from his previous restaurant are now regulars to this one. Between them they have over 20 years experience in the industry, working in various positions and soaking up knowledge from different bars, restaurants & cuisines alike. With these 2 creating ever evolving dishes and cocktails, the sky's the limit. Be sure to sample some of our boys' delights. Head hunted and driven by long standing Pudsey legend, previous owner of The Bank House Inn, and all around great bloke - Neil Crampton. With his many years in the trade and his vision for a better bar, he's come out on top after setting The 7 Steps in motion and amalgamating his knowledge and contacts. We're very excited to push forward and expand our humble bar & eatery into the depths of the building we have our hands on. Being the very old conservative club, it's a very old build! We'll be bringing the rest of it to life in the future, having not 1, but 2 function rooms to go at, both great spaces for events and live music. Ham & Friends was born out of a passion for bringing together the very best produce - all enjoyed in a relaxed, welcoming environment
Our kitchen is headed up by young, ambitious, local chef Joel Monkman. We aim to choose the best produce at any time – be it vegetables, dairy, fresh meat, charcuterie or cheese. We carefully select the suppliers we work with to bring you the best quality produce we possibly can, working closely with them to choose what we’re going to sell. The menu will be changing regularly depending on seasonality and how products are tasting. Provenance and quality are key and we aim to showcase fantastic produce in it’s best condition.  As well as an evening service Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm, we will also be serving up brunch along with hangover cures from our Bloody Mary cart every Saturday and Sunday from 11am.

Stephen, Barbara, Emily and staff welcome you to the Malt Shovel, Menston. Stephen has been in the Malt Shovel since 2002 and has over 20 years experience in the license trade. He has made The Malt Shovel a warm and welcoming pub for all, from local people to visiting tourists and walkers on their way too and from the Yorkshire Dales.   The Malt Shovel is located between Bradford and Leeds with easy access to the historic town of Otley and The Chevin Forest Park.
